He started as a dish washer with Malaysia Airlines and with hard work vision and ambition he ended as the Area Manager Airports Malaysia with Royal Brunei Airlines. He has 40 years experience in the industry and has served in a few major airlines and company such as Malaysia Airlines, All Nippon Airways, Express Rail Link and Royal Brunei Airlines, He has worked in few major airports such as KUL, SIN, BKK, JED, HND, KIX and NRT. His task was to ensure day to day airport operations runs smoothly, ensuring consistent performance of the ground handler, motivate and guide the team inclusive of the ground handling team. Dealing with ground handling contracts and SLAs with a few service providers makes him an expert in total airport operation management. He has served KLIA AOC as Treasurer, Secretary, Vice Chairman and Chairman for several terms from 2003 until 2018. He was tasked to ensure members. MAHB and KLIA stakeholders combine as a TEAM to make KLIA one of the best airports in the world. He was the Chairman of Cute Club for a few terms to ensure the DCS and CUTE at KLIA runs smoothly. He also worked closely with SITA. Having work closely with CAAM. MOT, MAVCOM, MAHB, PDRM, CUSTOMS, IMMIGRATION, MOH, TOURISM, MET, BAR Malaysia and other government agencies has made him well known in the Malaysian aviation industry. He is also a volunteer for KLIA ER team, always involved with many activities of the Emergency Respond initiative at KLIA, BKI and KCH. Sharing ideas and giving input on how to continue improving the ER management process. He was the Malaysian representative for the IATA AOC APAC annual conference and workshop. Discussing with IATA and sharing with APAC AOC the current issues and ways to resolve them. He is well known within APAC AOC and IATA for his determination, drive, very vocal and transparent.
